Description
Overview
Full-frame detail in a camera you carry daily
The Leica Q3 is a full-frame compact camera built around a fixed 28mm Summilux lens. It pairs a 60.3MP sensor with internal 8K video in a weather-protected magnesium body, giving street, travel and documentary photographers large-sensor image quality without the bulk of an interchangeable-lens kit.
- ✓ 60.3MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor
- ✓ Fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 lens
- ✓ Internal 8K and 10-bit 4K video
- ✓ IP52 dust and moisture protection
Feature 01
High-Resolution Full-Frame Sensor
A 60.3MP back-side illuminated CMOS sensor captures fine texture and wide tonal range across the full 35mm frame. The back-side illuminated design places wiring behind the photodiodes, so more light reaches each pixel. You get room to crop deeply in post while keeping the clean, detailed files that large prints demand.
Feature 02
Bright Summilux 28mm Lens
The fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 lens is matched to the sensor and includes optical image stabilization. Its wide f/1.7 aperture gathers plenty of light for low-light scenes and lets you separate subjects from the background, while stabilization helps keep handheld shots sharp at slower shutter speeds when you are working without a tripod.
Feature 03
8K and 10-Bit 4K Video
The Q3 records 8K video internally at up to 29.97 fps and 4K at up to 60 fps in 10-bit 4:2:2. That 10-bit color depth preserves smoother gradients and gives you more latitude when grading footage, so the same compact camera you use for stills can handle serious video work as well.
Feature 04
Clear Viewing, Rugged Body
Compose through a 5.76-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder or a 3-inch tilting touchscreen with 1.84 million dots, which makes low and high angles easier to frame. The magnesium alloy body carries IP52 dust and moisture protection, so you can keep shooting with confidence when conditions turn dusty or a light drizzle sets in.
