The Nikon ZR is a compact full-frame cinema camera that records RED’s R3D NE RAW format internally. Built for solo shooters and small crews, it delivers cinema-grade 6K RAW with 15+ stops of dynamic range, 32-bit float audio and a bright 4-inch vari-angle monitor in a body weighing about 540 g, so you can capture high-end footage without a heavy rig.

RED RAW recorded internally

Record 12-bit R3D NE RAW at up to 6K/59.94p directly in the camera, with 15+ stops of dynamic range and RED color science. N-RAW and ProRes RAW HQ are also available, giving you flexible RAW options for grading and a look that holds up alongside larger cinema cameras on the same project.

Slow motion with full-frame detail

The 24.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor supports 4K up to 119.88p and Full HD up to 239.76p, so you can capture smooth slow motion for action, product and music work. Shooting high frame rates in-camera means fewer compromises when you want dramatic, detailed motion in the edit.

Bright 4-inch monitoring

A 4.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen with 1000 cd/m² brightness stays readable in daylight and supports LUT monitoring, so you can judge exposure and color while recording in log. For many setups this large built-in display reduces the need for an external monitor, keeping your rig compact and quick to deploy.

32-bit float audio and stabilization

Record 32-bit float audio through the built-in mic or the 3.5mm input, preserving headroom so unexpected loud moments are far less likely to clip. Five-axis in-body sensor-shift stabilization helps steady handheld shots, and at about 540 g body only, the ZR is easy to carry, gimbal-mount or fly.
