Sony A1 Mirrorless Camera

Overview

One body for resolution, speed and 8K

The Sony Alpha 1 is a full-frame mirrorless camera that combines high resolution with high-speed shooting. It is designed for professionals in sports, wildlife, commercial and video production who want one body for demanding work, bringing together a 50.1MP stacked sensor, 30 fps continuous shooting, 8K video and a 9.44-million-dot viewfinder.

• ✓ 50.1MP full-frame stacked sensor
• ✓ Up to 30 fps continuous shooting
• ✓ 8K30p and 4K120p video
• ✓ 240 fps EVF refresh rate

Feature 01

50MP at 30 fps

The 50.1MP full-frame stacked sensor reads out fast enough for continuous shooting at up to 30 fps. You capture detailed, large files of fast action, so the same camera serves a stadium assignment in the morning and a high-resolution commercial shoot in the afternoon without compromise.

Feature 02

8K and high-frame-rate 4K

Record 8K video at up to 30p for maximum detail and reframing room, or 4K at up to 120p for smooth slow motion. These options let video producers capture premium footage for delivery and editing flexibility, and let hybrid shooters cover stills and motion with a single system.

Feature 03

A viewfinder that keeps up

The 9.44-million-dot electronic viewfinder offers refresh rates up to 240 fps, giving you a sharp, fluid view when tracking fast subjects. A smooth, detailed display makes it easier to follow erratic movement in sports and wildlife and to judge critical focus as the action unfolds.

Feature 04

Stabilization, flash sync and dual slots

In-body image stabilization rated at 5.5 stops helps keep handheld shots sharp, and flash sync up to 1/400 sec gives more control over ambient light in studio and outdoor portraits. Two card slots, each accepting SD or CFexpress Type A, provide fast storage and backup flexibility.
