High resolution at high speed

A 45MP full-frame stacked back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivers detailed files with fast readout, enabling up to 30 fps with the electronic shutter and 12 fps with the mechanical shutter. You can capture fleeting expressions at weddings or fast wildlife behavior while keeping enough resolution for cropping and large prints.

Internal 8K RAW video

Record 8K RAW video internally at up to 60 fps, or 4K up to 120 fps for slow motion. RAW footage gives you wide latitude in grading, and recording in-camera keeps your rig simple, making the R5 Mark II a strong primary camera for commercial, documentary and creator work.

Eye Control AF

Eye Control AF lets you select focus points simply by looking at your subject in the viewfinder. When a scene changes quickly, moving focus with your eye can be faster than reaching for a control, helping you stay on the right subject at events, in sports and with moving wildlife.

Stable, flexible and well connected

Five-axis in-body stabilization is rated up to 8.5 stops at center with compatible lenses. A 5.76M-dot OLED viewfinder and 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen support any shooting angle, while CFexpress Type B and SD UHS-II slots give you fast media for 8K and long bursts.
